As we have seen before, there are certain aspects that make a text dificult for the reader, here we will talk not only about these problems, but about it's solutions as well.
The problems that students encounter while reading in a second language are often the encounter with unknown words, and the long sentences that contain these many strage words, which make almost impossible for the students to make any sense of the texts. At this point, students will feel disencouraged to keep reading, and will think of how much they don't know, instead of ganing confidence in their reading.
For these the author claims these solutions:

It´s difficult to find reading material especially in English here in Ensenada that will interest the English language learners. There isn't a big selection and the price is often high. At least here at the UABC, we have some books and magazines at CEMAII.
You are absolutely right :S
But I think that now we have the wonders of internet. We can find a lot of new or used books on e-bay, amazon, etc. at a really great price.
We might just have to look around.
That´s true. Actually Juan Carlos mentioned the other day that he read a whole book on the Internet. So you just have to have an Internet connection and you don´t have to buy any books! Personally, I prefer to read on paper, sitting on the couch!
There's always the printing option, you don't have to damage your eyes, in order to do some reading .
